Desktops fail differently than laptops. A tower that won't post is usually a power supply, a seated-loose GPU, dead motherboard caps or a boot drive on its way out — and guessing at parts gets expensive fast. We test the whole system on the bench first, so you only pay for the part that actually failed.

We work on everything from Dell and HP office towers to full custom water-cooled gaming rigs for students at Virginia Tech and Radford. Every job starts with a $25 diagnostic — credited toward your repair — and a written quote, and all work happens right here in Christiansburg — nothing ships to a warehouse.

Frequently asked

How long does a desktop repair take?

Most desktop repairs finish in 2–4 business days. Common parts like power supplies, SSDs and RAM are usually in stock; specialty motherboards or GPUs can add a few days for ordering.

Do I need to bring my monitor, keyboard and mouse?

No — just the tower and the power cable. We have test benches with monitors and peripherals. If the problem only happens with your specific display or dock, bring it along so we can reproduce it.

Can you fix a custom gaming PC I built myself?

Yes, and we won't judge the cable management. We work on custom AMD and Intel builds, air and AIO liquid cooling, and can rebuild or re-tune a loop if temps are the problem.

My PC randomly shuts down under load — what's wrong?

Usually one of three things: an undersized or failing power supply, thermal shutdown from dried thermal paste and dust, or unstable memory/overclock settings. Our diagnostic tests all three under sustained load rather than guessing.

Will I lose my files?

No. We don't wipe anything without asking, and we back up your drive before major work like a Windows reinstall. If your boot drive is failing, we'll quote data recovery first.

Is it worth repairing an older desktop?

Often yes — desktops upgrade far better than laptops. A $150 SSD-and-RAM refresh routinely makes a six-year-old tower feel new. If it isn't worth it, we'll say so and price out a build instead.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes — 90 days on parts and labor, plus the manufacturer warranty on any component we install.
